Booty Challenge

This is the longest I have ever stuck to the booty challenge! I have just completed Day 17 today so have 12 days left to go! I am vrry excited to have stuck it out this long!!

I havent been as good with getting out for my walks! I have managed one this week, so still need to fit in 2 more and its Saturday tomorrow! Plus it is going to rain ALL weekend!!

Fingers crossed I can keep going ... as I am loving how I am feeling and reaping in the losses :)

Now its time for some vegetable stir fry with rice noodles! Yummy!!

Another week and another loss :)

So for the past 2 weeks I have been quite down as I wasnt showing any signs of change ...

However as you can now see from my pictures, I have lost 4 and a half inches from my body in total! This is half an inch from my arms, 2 inches from my waist and 2 inches from my thighs! I knew I felt slimmer but I am very happy with these results!

I have to say I have not been perfect! In that I have wanted to eat everything possible! But last week I got out for a walk nearly everyday and I really think that is what helped! I stuck to my honey and lemon water and my green tea. I increased water intake and I have done it!

I am feel much more motivated now to carry on ... so my week starts on Sunday and i spent 2 hours at the gym on Sunday! It has gone down hill from there! I havent done any exercise Monday or Tuesday! But here is Wednesday and I am just about to go out for a walk ... latet I will be catching up to say 14 of the Booty challenge and I will be back at the gym tomorrow morning!

Here we come summer body ...

The week so far ...

I have had some big changes to my life this week ... and they have been for the better!

I start my fitness week on a Sunday and since Sunday i have only missed one day of sone form of exercise! I have been out fir a walk 3 times, done 2 bouts of spinning and I am still carrying on my Booty challenge and yoga.

I feel AMAZING!

My main issue is food. I LOVE food! I want to eat all food and any food and i do! I have nooo willpower when it comes to food.

So i have munched down on Chinese, sunday lunch, full English breakfast and I am going out on the weekend for food also! Oops!

But i am drinking 3L of water a day, i have switched to green tea rather than normal tea and keeping up with my honey and lemob water :)

So I am still going. I am hoping i may have lost at least a little bit when i measure on Sunday, but i wont be massively bothered if i havent! I will be out for some walks and runs next week ...

The impact ....

I started all over again. I have to say it is not going bad! I even resisted the temptation of cheesecake at Guides tonight.

I feel very tired ... as i am getting no where near as much sugar as usual. My hips are still very sore and walking up and down stairs at school makes them a lot more painful.

I restarted the Ashy Bines booty challenge ... and Lord above I am in pain! But good pain ..  i struggled to sit down on the loo the second day!

So i have fit in exercise as much as possible and i am eating better. Lets see how it keeps going!

Starting again ...

So this week has been a write off ... due to my joints not being up to it.

However I have managed today and have new resolve to start again!

So far today I have done a good job ... I have worked out how much water and when i need to drink it. What else i need to drink/eat to cleanse my body and kick start my healthy eating.

At the beginning of today I felt massively bloated after my bad diet of the past few days and I really need to get rid of this bloat. So lets hope everything I am doing will put this right.

I started the morning with a mug of lemon and honey water! (Amazing start to the morning! Tastes great and is so good for you) Then with some strawberry, blueberry and lemon water. Followed by another glass of plain water. I then did 30 minutes of mixed strength exercises and yoga and a protein shake for breakfast! I feel so much better!!

Lets see how the rest of the day goes :)

Beginning week one.

So ... I havent done a very good job of getting out for a run so far these past 3 days.

However I have hit my goals in eating well, drinking 3L of water a day and doing some form of exercise.

I still cant really get out for a run due to my hips however i have managed 2 bouts of Yoga and a gentle walk. I have also racked up nearly 20, 000 steps from work for Monday and Tuesday - which for me is not bad!

I am hoping to get out later in the week and get to both the gym and some more yoga also. Keeping the healthy eating going and drinking lots and lots of water.

I have started adding my own fruit to water instead of buying already flavoured water and it is amazing!
I am especially loving Strawberry, blueberry and lemon.
Lemon and honey hot water has also become my morning drink instead of tea! This is improving my mornings and i feel a lot more awake without the caffeine!

So overall the start to my week has not been bad but I am hoping it improves as the week goes on :)

To begin ...

As it says, to begin with, a bit about me ...

Firstly - I am a seasonal exerciser. I love exercising in Spring and Summer, but in Autumn and Winter all I want is my blanket, a book and good food!

Secondly - I am a trainee teacher at the moment. I am nearly 3/4 of the way through my training. It takes up a hell of a lot of my time ... I cannot even go to the toilet without thinking what which class is going to be doing!

Thirdly - I am a Guide Leader. I love it at times ... at times it is infuriating. Much of the reason I am keeping this blog is for my Queens Guide Award which is the highest award in Guiding. I am in the process of completing this and my blog, my training and my successes will contribute to this!

Sooo less about me me and more about fitness me.

My main goal at the moment is to get back to the fitness I was at this time last year. Where I felt fit, strong and healthy! I also wouldnt mind losing a few pounds in the process. I went down to a toned size 8 in my heyday of exercising properly ... I am now a flabby 10-12.

so I am back with renewed enthusiam and motivation.

My plan:

- train, exercise, eat well and drink water.
- I want to run, cycle, lift weights and do yoga. Without feeling like I want to dieeee.
- I may well celebrate my amazingness with a big event - watch this space ...

This week I am going to take it easy ... I have had a few issues this week with a lot of pain in my hips, back, knees, ankles, shoulders and hands. I am on some STRONG medication - which is sending me doolally! So i am going to go easy with some lovely Yin yoga on Saturday, some gentle bike riding and maybe even a spot of swimming.

I will start back gently and build up over time - every fall, every success, every cheat meal, every weight lifted and how i feel, will be recorded right here.

It will all be done healthily, so I can set a good example for my Guides and Senior Section and all young women and girls.

Ps, I am also doing a study into how the fitness industry affects young people, so I will also post some of that here too!

Thanks :)
Love L x
